With the arrival of Apple’s newest iPhones, the smartphone industry’s main rivals were left with one glaring exception: Apple’s iPhone 5c.
The phone was launched in September 2016 with a $1,299 price tag, and Apple’s latest handset, the iPhone 5s, is now on sale for $1 of the original $1299 price.
But Apple’s new phones are still selling well.
The iPhone 5 has sold 4.6 million units since its introduction, according to IDC, a company that tracks smartphone sales.
The Apple iPhone 6 is selling 3.5 million units, while the iPhone 6 Plus is still on sale.
But despite Apple’s high-profile launch, many are still waiting for the next iPhone.

Pros and cons Pros Price: Good-looking phone, which is great for a smartphone buyer who wants something new.
