A year after India rolled out 4G connectivity, the country has introduced its first mobile phone and tablet device for Indian users.
The Indian Mobile Phone and Tablet Device for Indian Users (IMPDE) will be launched on Friday.
It comes at a time when mobile phones and tablets are on the verge of getting a major overhaul in India.
India’s mobile phone market is expected to hit Rs 2 trillion by 2021, according to industry body IDC.
The market is also expected to grow at an average rate of about 6 percent annually, according the World Economic Forum (WEF).
